Welcome to the RLSH Crime Fighting Division

The code of the RLSH (Real Life Superheroes) is Safety-Service-Justice. This blog is designed to honor that code, while expanding upon that philosophy in a way that is compliant with The Law. Understand that not all things discussed are legal in every state, and wherever you reside, as an RLSH it is a fine line we walk, but walk it we must. No persons under the age of 18 should ever attempt to be a crime fighter, and should stick to the RLSH basics of MUCH NEEDED public service, helping the poor, and patrolling for trouble to notify police of. This blog will not only cover the basics of Crime Fighting, but also advanced tactics, and tips and information on how to do so 100% legally.

OUR MISSION!

Who would have thought in 1939 that comic books would have been such a huge American staple, let alone become a booming multi-billion dollar film industry. And yet, in the midst of near economic collapse, comic movies have done nothing but gained popularity and continue to gain billions in movies, games, TV shows, and of course in the continued publishing of the on-going comics themselves. None of this should come as a shock to anyone, for it was out of such dyer circumstances that comics were born. In the times of the the great depression, and Hitlers genocide of the Jewish people, was born the very first "Superheroes". Superman was created by two Jewish men, Jerry Siegel and Canadian-born American artist Joe Shuster in 1932. The romanticized the idea of such hard times and terrible struggles being stopped by someone powerful and selfless enough to do so. At the time the character wasn't very fleshed out, and wasn't about Krypton, or The Justice League, it was simply about an idea, a simple, yet seemingly unattainable idea- HOPE. Superman unlike some heroic incarnations before him, did not focus on race-status, or complex political ideas (though later they wiggle their way in) but in his purest form, he was a symbol of hope.

As time progressed, and crime got worse, and organized crime gained more and more control, it only managed to make the idea of "Super-Heroes" more appealing to the public. Bob Kane and Bill Finger, took a different approach however, while embracing the Superhero look and feel, they wanted to create a character that didn't need powers to do good, but only the will to act, and so they created, Batman. Like it or love it, these two very different characters would change our world forever. Today crime is worse than ever, terrorism a daily threat, and Superheroes more popular than ever before in history, because of how they symbolize facing these threats, and selflessly acting to to change the world to make it a better place. But in this century, and in this decade, something has changed. A quiet underground movement began, and for a long time moved under the radar of the media, then, some time after the September 11th terrorist attacks, this movement slowly began to emerge. For the last 10 years it has become a loud enough movement, that it can no longer be silenced, or ignored. That movement was the advent of the emergence of Real Life Superheroes.

And while the media took a somewhat candid approach to this growing movement, it did not stop the serious mission these individuals took upon themselves to rid the world of evil. These were individuals with no powers, many without even exceptional skills, who acted on will alone. The will to combat evil. In the beginning many took a more socially acceptable route of dawning a costume, and going out and helping the poor, passing out water, food, and other supplies. Which is still a HUGE part of what these people are about. However, it wasn't long until others began to take it a step further, and patrolled their cites in search of those who were not only in need, but possibly immediate danger. Arming themselves with anything from mace, to stun weapons, they have slowly evolved into what can almost be considered a crime fighter, and some, have gone the whole way with it. Even being arrested for doing so.

And this brings us to the current situation. In a world full of crime and terror, where do these individuals fit in? (after all, this isn't a comic book) The essence of their intent while noble, is often illegal once they cross the line from activist to vigilante depending upon the nature of their action. And while it is very clear that society and the toils of man kind is what declares the need for such, how can these people who choose to break from apathy, and act to change do so if our very laws do not permit them? Or do they? What if I told you there was a way that these rel life superheroes, known as the R.L.S.H. could do just as much as we see Batman do in comics, or police do day to day 100% legally? Before we get to that, let us tell you an unrelated story of crime fighting here in America.

Since the old west, bounty hunters have been a fixed part of keeping law and order by bringing those that violate it to justice. Over time it has become a much more professional occupation looking much more like police work than wild cowboy bikers (though many still are) it has become not only a desire for some to pursue but is a necessity to keep the public safe. Even so, as with all paying professions, it becomes more about money, than about heroics. Dog The Bounty Hunter was a popular show for awhile, everyone loved to see the big bad biker take down the bad guy, and despite racist comments he had made which pretty much killed the show entirely, people still talk about him, and are fascinated with the idea. However, it was not always so easy for bounty hunters who are actually called Fugitive Recovery Agents nowadays. They have had their own trouble with the legal system, having to fight for their rights to do what they do efficiently. In the end, they found their permanent place among law enforcement, and are not going anywhere anytime soon. Bounty Hunting is BIG MONEY and a BIG BUSINESS, not so much about heroics as we said, but about profit.

Now we come back to the R.L.S.H.who do what they do for free, most without a decent income, doing what they can with what they have. Everything from donating, to awareness walks, to feeding the hungry, and or, patrolling the streets, it is quite clear, they too are not going anywhere. And while Bounty Hunters do what they do legally, they do so with guns, and if necessary they will do so with lethal force. Hence why they have had trouble with the legal system. The R.L.S.H however, do not use any lethal weapons. While there is no structure, leadership, or rules, they are governed by a unifying idea of protecting all life, even the life of the criminals they detain. In short, the R.L.S.H. do not kill, it is against their code of ethics, a code that has been passed down since the 1930's when comic first gave rise to Superheroes. (see comic code in Wikipedia) This is the very reason they wear costumes, and emulate these heroes, to symbolized that same HOPE that the comics did, and to an R.L.S.H. death is not HOPE. When guns are involved, there is always a risk of death, either to the opposing party, or to innocent by-standards, you double that risk when both parties are armed with deadly force. An R.L.S.H. is quite aware of the risk they take, and assume that the bad guy likely has a gun, yet this does not stop them from pursuing justice in a non-lethal fashion.

What makes Bounty Hunting more acceptable than Crime Fighting R.L.S.H. is that Bounty Hunters have order, structure, and operate within the legal system. Simply put, there actions are easily accounted for. This may seem like a road block for the R.L.S.H. but actually, it is a wonderful opportunity. And THAT is where we come in. the R.L.S.H. Crime Fighting Division is an organization of individuals who wish to bridge this gap in a profound way. Here is our proposal. If you are an R.L.S.H.- a Real Life Superhero, who wishes to go beyond activism into active crime fighting, the route to take is to become a licensed Fugitive Recovery Agent, and as long as your 18 or over, you can pretty much qualify. Our Group- The R.L.S.H.C.F.D. Is dedicated to offer the RLSH a means to fight injustice within the legal structure, and to take the money they make from the bounties, and give it to charity.

That's right, we want the RLSH to legally bring fugitives to justice,. Since being a real life superhero means giving of your self for free. This creates a brand new hope for our community, and for the world. RLSH's will go through Fugitive Recovery and training, they will receive their Fugitive Recovery Agent licence, bring fugitives to justice non-lethally, and in doing so, the bounties collected will go to charities world wide so that we can help to restore, what criminals have destroyed. While the services mentioned are up to an individual to seek out,  once a hero goes through the necessary legal steps, we will offer them facilitation to do what they do so they can truly make a difference. As such, they will be required to follow guidelines to ensure what they do is not only legal, but ethical in accordance to what the R.L.S.H stand for. Service-Safety-Justice.

As in everything, it all starts with an idea. We work around the clock structuring what we believe may be the future of a brighter world full of hope- The same hope Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster dreamed of in 1932.
We are asking that the R.L.S.H. come together like never before, combining our resources, and reaching out, and not giving into apathy or bureaucracy or even doubt, and with faith, WE CAN DO THIS!

It is time for The Rise of The Real Life Superheroes!
